I had originally intended for there to be more texture visible on the surface. But, the glaze I used to cover the whole piece after doing Mishima and pressing small holes across the surface of this piece and filling it with brown glaze, the final glaze overpowered the underglazes. The stem of the pear came off 6 times, I learned that using a mixture of clay dust and vinegar as water to create slip worked to fuse the bone-hard clay back together.
These three pieces were thrown on the wheel.
I used sgraffito and Mishima techniques on the purple and smaller blue cups.
I wanted to learn new techniques and better my understanding of glaze. I used both underglaze and overglaze to add color.
